Recognize and avoid phishing

Security & Privacy4 min read

Phishing is a common way attackers steal logins. A few checks make it easy to tell a real GatherPro page from a fake one.

Check the address before you type

Always sign in on your organization's own subdomain — for example https://<your-organization>.gatherpro.events/portal/login. Look closely for small typos in the domain.

We won't ask for your password

GatherPro never emails you asking for your password, two-factor code, or recovery codes. Treat any such request as suspicious.

Hover before you click

Hover over links in emails to see where they really go. If the destination isn't your GatherPro domain, don't click it.

Be wary of urgent language

Messages that demand immediate action, threaten account closure, or offer unexpected rewards are common phishing tactics. Slow down and verify through a known channel.

Report anything suspicious

If you suspect you clicked a bad link or entered your password on a fake page, change your password right away and contact GatherPro support.
